Local Committee
The Local Committee includes:
- Chair: Sue Broadhurst, Professor of Performance and Technology in the School of Arts. Performance Leader of the BitLab Digital Research Institute at Brunel and a core member of Drama’s Institute of Contemporary and Digital Performance. Previously Co-Director of Body, Space and Technology Research group and Chair of DRHA Programming Committee 2008 and 2009. Performance writer and practitioner.
- Performance Co-ordinator: Josephine Machon, Lecturer in Performance Studies and member of the DRHA Programming Committee 2008 and 2009 Performance writer and practitioner.
- Laura Ashley, BA MA MCLIP

- Johannes Birringer, Chair in Drama & Performance Technologies and Director of the Institute of Contemporary and Digital Performance at Brunel. Performance writer and artist.
- Steve Dixon, Professor and Pro Vice-Chancellor of Development. He has also been a member of the Standing Committee of DRHA for several years.
- Carl Faia, Composer and Live-Electronic-Designer. He is also co-founder and director of synArt, a non-profit organization for the research, creation and production of contemporary technology based music.
- Olinkha Gustafson-Pearce is creator, builder and project leader of virtual Brunel, the universities online virtual presence and is a member of Brunel’s Creative Network and is also a founder member of the HCD (Human Centred Design Institute).
- Justin Halls is a biologist turned electronics engineer turned software engineer who has been part of the Brunel Institute for Bioengineering for over 25 years. He has worked on diverse medical engineering projects, the development of facilities’ for doing biology in space for the European Space Agency and recently has been involved in developing technology to assist the elderly and infirm in their day to day activities.
- Tanya Krzywinska, Professor in Screen Studies. She is President of the Digital Games Research Association (www.digra.org) and has published widely on different aspects of videogames.
- Stelarc, Chair of Performance Technologies and core member of Drama’s Institute of Contemporary and Digital Performance. Internationally Renowned Performance Artist
